Kia ora, I’m Samantha and I’ve been passionate about supporting women through the journey of motherhood ever since I became pregnant & realised how neglected this intense rite of passage is for women in colonised cultures.
I studied with Nicola Mahdiyyah Goodall at Red Tent Doulas in the UK and my eyes were opened to the importance of honouring the “old ways”, employing a gentle & steady presence, and guiding each woman to trust in her own innate knowing.
Weaving together my training as a doula and Feminine Embodiment Coach, as well as over 15 years of experience with energy healing & bodywork, I will walk beside you, as you navigate the undulations of this experience through the portal of birth. Awakening to the next version of You that is about to step forward.
Deeply connected to the sacred Feminine, I support you in an approachable, warm and open way. However your pregnancy/birth/postpartum might look, I help you to empower yourself by bringing awareness to your inherent strength and bodily wisdom.
I offer myself as a companion on your journey, in a non-authoritarian role, centering you as Mother, your power and transformation.
We are reborn every time a pregnancy ends, whether that be with a child to take home, or the loss of a baby, or the difficult decision to terminate.
In each circumstance we will move through a postpartum period, where are brains rewire, our bodies recover, and our heart recalibrates.
I have a daughter. I've also had a termination. And last year I experienced a miscarriage.
I am deeply called to support those women who are seeking a non-judgemental and empathic doula during this time of confusion & grief.
