I’m Amanda, Earth Based Birthworker.
All inclusive full spectrum birth & postpartum support including pregnancy, early birth (miscarriage), home birth, birthing centre, hospital birth, abortion, breastfeeding/body feeding & lactating. Supporting women & people to birth in their power as sovereign beings. I stand in solidarity for human rights & reproductive rights for all. No discrimination & body shaming here.
After birthing my 3rd child, I found myself navigating the depths of postpartum depression & through that is where I discovered training to become a Pregnancy, Birth & Postpartum Doula. This has always been my calling and passion, being a Nanny & birth/postpartum support before having my own children. I jumped onboard the 2018 intake & then completed certification. This is where my business began & grew as I weaved through motherhood, birthing my 4th child & homeschooling.
Through profound healing within myself, developing professionally & personally, its imperative I work towards decolonising my mind & practice to align with the ethics & values I uphold & being an allie to all people, especially BIPOC, LGBTQIA+ folk. That I use my privilege to do so. Forever showing up in authenticity & in solidarity against all broken patriarchal systems.
We reside in the north of Tāmaki Makaurau, Auckland where I provide my offerings to the region, online & I am also open to travelling around Aotearoa.
I passionately provide support for all women, pregnant, birthing & lactating people & their whānau.
Having experience in miscarriage, early birth, abortion, loss & grief. Holding space at our most vulnerable & raw moments through these rites of passage.
It is an absolute honour & privilege to be invited into the most sacred place on this Earth, that we all share and are connected by...the birthing & postpartum space. I am here to remind you of your power, help inform in working towards your own informed decisions, advocate for you, nurture & nourish you & your family throughout your journey all in a passionate, holistic & harmonious way.
