Jessica Vermunt
Kia ora, I’m Jessica — though most people know me as Whiskey May. I’m an End of Life Doula offering grounded, heart-led support through the deeply human experience of dying.
I walk alongside individuals and whānau with empathy, respect, and dignity at the heart of everything I do. This work isn’t about fixing or rushing — it’s about presence. It’s about listening, holding space, and helping ensure that your voice and your choices are honoured at every step.
My services include — but aren’t limited to — end-of-life planning, companionship, family support, and death vigils. Whether I’m helping someone write letters to loved ones, sitting in stillness in their final hours, or simply being a calm presence in the chaos, I’m here to support what you need, in a way that feels right for you.
There’s no script for this work. Every person, every story, every goodbye is different. I bring a flexible, intuitive approach and a healthy dose of honesty and humour (because, let’s face it — death is heavy enough without pretending to be someone I’m not).
If you’re looking for someone to walk with you through the hardest parts of life, with compassion and no bullshit — I’m here.
